It's hard to believe that it is 12:30 AM.
The fortress on the left blocks our base camp from being visible from the Mars Society's habitat (in the distance).
The sky was just beautiful. Unfortunately it was bedtime and everyone seemed to be done for the day.
But I can't stop taking pictures.
A blue sky is a precious thing here on Devon Island. The weather is very unpredictable. It is raining and foggy as I type this.
Tent city to the left overlooks Von Braun Planitia in the background.
I hope this sky lasts until tomorow!
I still haven't gotten a tour of the greenhouse. I'll try my best to get one tomorrow.
I haven't ventured in THAT direction yet, but apparently it's a whole lot of the same thing.
The sun never quite sets, but it makes some very nice patterns through the clouds, regardless.
The valleys from yesterday's pictures are just beyind these hills. Tent city is to the right and base camp is to the left. This water is drinkable, but we have sinks, so no one actually drinks from it except for Kimik and Zan.
Pascal and crew are still out traversing. Maybe they are enjoying the weather too much to come back.
More pretty sky...
Now I wish I was out traversing!
I don't expect to see this in the morning, so I turn around to get one last shot of the patch of blue sky.
